Members of Barre City Local 881 are facing a serious budget issue on Tuesday
June 14th. In a meeting held this morning a plan was developed to combat
the budget problems and the proposed City Council and Mayors Budget that
would reflect in the layoff and elimination of a minimum of one position in
the Local. Tuesday's ballot issue will be the third attempt at passing a
city budget, it has failed the past two attempts. If this budget does not
pass then it has been said that they will cut further.
We are asking for the PFFV members to support the efforts of Local 881.
Below are three events that will take place in the next few day. We need
assistance in canvassing the homes in Barre City to drop literature, and
support at the press conference. If you are able to attend any of these

5 am to 10 am.

Local 881 Press Conference at the Barre City Fire Station denouncing the
